Eddie Garcia started playing guitar at the age of 15 in a futile attempt to get chicks. Although it never got him much, it did become something he started doing every day. It’s probably the only thing he does every day that isn’t going to kill him. Soon after he bought his imitation Strat he sold all his rap albums and began listening to the likes of the Pixies and the Velvet Underground.

After being in a few shitty high school bands as a rhythm guitarist, he met Matt Garappolo his freshmen year of college. Matt introduced him to the wonderful world of Guided By Voices, Jameson and blacking out. They formed the groundbreaking quartet Ontario Airport.

During his sophomore year of college he began writing songs, mostly as a way to vent out against girls, work, school and people he hated. After Ontario Airport imploded, Eddie moved to bass and the Matt and Eddie band was born. The name was soon changed to the O.A.O.T.s.

Today Eddie lives in the band’s rehearsal space and strives to write the perfect pop tune before the cancer kicks in.
