Dave Palamaro began his drumming career in the 5th grade when he was
forced to join the elementary school band. He was customarily ridiculed
by classmates for dragging his large snare drum up and down the school
stairs. From that moment on, Dave was forever labeled "Band Fag".
Not to be dismayed, Dave Palamaro converted his social angst into hard
work. He joined several high school bands with names like "100%",
"Us", "InnerVisions", and "The Jon Kuhar All-Stars".
Upon graduating high school (late), Dave joined the semi-known Philadelphia
punk band, "Cabbage-A-Go-Go". "Cabbage", as their
fans knew them, played several classic gigs at the South Street dive
bar, The Bacchanal. Upon many a night, Cabbage-A-Go-Go front man Wigley
Fred could be seen smashing washing machines with sledge hammers and
heaving toast at the audience.
For some reason Cabbage-A-Go-Go never "made it" and Dave was
forced to join the US Army Band. There, he learned how to fight communists.
After a break from music called college, Dave moved to LA.
Dave Palamaro is currently in the Los Angeles band, the O.A.O.Ts and
strives to hide behind cymbals when photographed.
